We shot the film between 28 and 30 july 2011 at the festival. You can watch the whole documentary on Vimeo or YouTube. You can also download the documentary at ClearBits or Internet Archive.

Norbergfestival celebrates alternative electronic music from all over the world and takes place in the small city of Norberg in Sweden. 2011 the festival featured such acts as Lustmord, Dopplereffekt, Rrritalin, Vinyl terror & horror, Hanna Hartman, Rrritalin etc.

One for each of our movies. Here’s a short text describing how one of the illustration for our front-page came about.

Step 1: Drawing it irl

The illustration is drawn by hand. First in pencil then in ink. The ink makes the illustration more optimal for the scanning process.

Step 2: From hand-drawn to digital

The hand-drawn illustration is scanned to a hi-res image file. We had to do some cropping in Photoshop (or any other image program that you prefer).

Step 3: Vectorizing the illustration

The hi-res image is opened in Illustrator for some vector magic. Select the image. Using Tracing Optons (under the Object menu) we choose Live Trace. Since our image already was black and white and had very sharp contoures we didn’t need to bother about the settings. What you do depends on the image. After we are happy with the settings click the Trace button.

Before the real magic happens we go back to Object and choose Expand, then click OK.

Taddaa! Magic happens!

The close-up image above shows how the final vectorized image looks like when selected.

Step 4: The final image in place

The finished image is saved in PNG-format (which is a good, transparent format with high quality) before it’s uploaded to the site. Below you can se how the final result fits together with the rest of the site.

Last Saturday we were invited to Styrbord Babord (a club on a boat in central Göteborg) were we shot tons of material for a short trailer for their very popular club Klubb Kapsejs. DJs for the evening were Filip Radic, Alexander Hasselström and Martin Brocker.

We shot some three hours of material for about one and a half minute trailer. The trailer is in the editing stage and will be up for viewing next week.

The idea is simple: the teaser consists of still images from the film, reflecting the films subject, still photography. The stills are beautifully accompanied by a short score courtesy of Martin Nordblad and Sara Gård from indie band Moulds Room.

It’s simple, short but true to the films heart. Hope you like it!

This Saturday we finally began filming the upcoming music project Neon Folk Like Us by swedish indie band Moulds Room. The filming took place at a small football field here in sunny Gothenburg. The music project is inspired by the record Neon Folk Like Us also by Moulds Room. We also thank Mariusz Bojarski for doing such a cool job acting in the trailer. Respect!

We’ll be posting the trailer for you very soon. Johan Hellqvist was kind to take some awesome photographs. The one above is an example of those. More will be up soon!
